Do You Know Where Your Food Comes From?

Do you learn something new everyday? We highly recommend it. Try a new exercise class, peruse the online thesaurus, watch a documentary, or ask someone to help you on something you can’t wrap your head around. It can be eye-opening, humbling, shocking, and hilarious at the same time.

It’s mind-boggling the multitude of new information the human brain can absorb in a single day. It’s just as mind boggling that most people do not take advantage of this opportunity.

And this is exactly why we chose to watch two documentaries on the food industry in the United States, Forks Over Knives and Food Inc. As much as I love getting sucked into an action flick (Bond or Bourne, anyone?), at AYT we turned a no-brainer evening into a shockingly educational night that has changed the way we look at our food choices.
